can anyone ID the YR and Make of this Massey it is a Diesel
Serial Number is the only thing that i can find on it

While Im not sure Im leaning towards a 230 or 231.

The serial number doesn't decode the model, but indicates year ranges, which your number is in the 1975 range. Some similar looking models weren't produced in 1975 so they can be eliminated.

I suspect a 235, based on the steering linkage from the gearbox to the front axle and the clutch pedal. A second guess would be a 245 but my understanding is, the 245 would have hydrostatic steering with a hyd ram located where you see that steering linkage in your pic. The 235 & 245 are nearly identical other than the steering system. The 235 had a power assist gear box, that was troublesome and very expensive to repair or replace.

In the US That style sheet metal would make it a 235, 230, or 245. The 235 replaced the 135 and the engineers thought they had improved the steering, but they failed, The steering box had some improvements done to it but still was not reliable, especially with front mounted weights or implements. The 245 used hydrostatic steering, whereas the 235 retained the mechanical assisted steering. The 235 was built in 1975 and 1976. The 245 was built 1974 to 1983. The 230 was built 1974 to 1983.The 235 and 245 are listed as 46 and 45 Horsepower The 230 is listed as 38. The 235 can be identified by the drag links on both sides from the steering box to the front axle. The 245 and 230 have a hydraulic cylinder on the right side and a drag link the goes between the front wheels. As for how they were equipped they could have been built low or high priced. Low priced = 2 stage clutch, minimum hydraulics, bucket seat, dish fenders, etc. High price = Independent PTO, auxiliary hydraulics, flat top fenders, PAVT wheels, float ride seat, etc. Or any where in between. The best part is all 3 are powered by the reliable 3.152 3 cylinder Perkins diesel or gas, or the Z145 Continental gas. Best part of the Perkins is parts are readily available and usually reasonably priced. The Continental is easy to fix reliable, but parts are more expensive.
