Saw this on marketplace, it's not running and hasn't run in about a decade. Guy doesn't have a list price, so he probably wants too much but I'd like to know what it's worth
Not running could be as simple as new points and a battery or as bad as a lock up engine so hard to say for sure. I picked up a Case VAC for $300 a few years back that didn't run but drove off the trailerSaw this on marketplace, it's not running and hasn't run in about a decade. I am a CASE man , And I like My VAC for running the auger ,,. its a great Great trailer tractor and i keep it hooked up to one most the time ,. This is a VAI , to my best knowledge , We had one growing up , My mother raked and baled hay with it . Evaluating this VAI , cost wise ,,. condition of tires , running , running Well , Restored Well , All are a big factor ,, Dont forget to inspect the wheels for saline damage ,,.This VAI has a lot going for it ,muffler and rain cap ,. straight tin , good tires and WHEEL WEIGHTS , aged restoration repaint , belt pulley ,PTO, and hydraulic lever lift , and it has front lights, looks like original 6 volt system still intact . Running this tractor could command 2000 dollars by 2 motivated buyers at auction ,,, However a tinkerer wont pay much over 1200 assuming the wheels and tires are in good conditin , Not running 5-700 tops , If the seller declares it ran great last fall LOL.. pulling this out of the bushes with low or flat tires as complete as it is with a rain cap 350 dollars , that is what the value is in Southern IND .Saw this on marketplace, it's not running and hasn't run in about a decade. That was my thought, I was thinking it's probably worth about $200 or so for its condition in my area, thanks! In northeast Indiana you would be pushing it to get $500 for it. It is non running and not a very desirable collector item.
Yeah, it seems like a pretty common and undesirable tractorWhat Pete said around me. The pullers grabbed a few up for a certain weight class.
Thanks! It seems pretty valueless, it should have a handcrank so it would be easy to tell if it's locked up or notNot running could be as simple as new points and a battery or as bad as a lock up engine so hard to say for sure. Unfortunately not, just says it's not runningDoes it say if the engine turns?
What are those ams/levers on either side of the gas tank? Could they be rockshaft arms like a Farmall C?I am a CASE man , And I like My VAC for running the auger ,,. its a great Great trailer tractor and i keep it hooked up to one most the time ,. Ohh interesting, thanks! No 3point hitch a no hydraulic pump are two things that draw down on both price and usefulness. Yes these things could be added later, but as sits, it’s worth what it weighs, unless of course you have a similar tractor at home that you need parts for.
