What's it worth???

I just found this site! I guess I should have known it would exist!
The reason I was looking is I have some chassis parts from a 1954 Ford 1/2 ton I have been street-rodding (long story!). I was just asked if I would sell the complete rear axle (brakes & all, just as removed from the truck) and I have NO IDEA what it is worth! Anyone willing to give me a price range?
Thanks,
Lynn

I'd say if you can get $100 for it you're doing pretty well. Ratio would determine how desirable it is.

I've got one down in the shed from my 48 F1 that I haven't been able to give away.

I pulled mine out for a 9" with a hwy ratio... as have a lot of other guys.

rev, you might post the parts in the ads in places like wheels of time, it needs to be seen by somebody who is restoring a truck most people find the 1950's gear ratios too steep for everyday driving on the hiway if the parts are usable somebody will buy 'em, id take most any offer you get as its going to be a limited market, most people like you, find the good old 9 inch ford rear end with hiway gears, solves a whole lot of problems for them on the cool looking early trucks
