If it clips on to the screw head it's for carburetors.

I have a 1/4? drive flex shaft. Very handy on occasion but sets in the tool box most of the time. It?s one of those tools that when you need it you really need it.

ooh yes, was a tool like that for adjusting the dwell on the V8 chev and olds engines. 30 degree's dwell. still remember that from the 1970's

It's for adjusting idle mix screws on automotive carbs. Especially the ones that were factory plugged, once the plugs were removed.

Not that I would have ever done that or even know about doing any such thing...

The ones for adjusting points have a 1/8" allen wrench on the end.

I thought that was the greatest ever when I got one! Sure made setting the dwell on my 1957 Chevy easy!

Looks like an old idle mixture adjustment tool, I've got some of the newer ones with changeable sockets. Socket on the left adjusts point dwell, next I think was for a Chrysler carb adjustment, then a clutch head. One in the frt. similar to yours is a double D head mostly for GM Quadrajets and I think one is missing.

Dad got one in the 60s or 70s, made carb and distributor work easier with the flex to get in tight areas.
