wheel rim width

I took some 11LX15 tires off of a running gear because the side walls are 1/8" from rubbing on the tie rod arms in front. I have some good 9.5L's to put back on. Will the 9.5 sidewalls be just as wide on the 8" rims? The running gear was under a grain wagon and is going under a flat rack and I just don't need that wide of a tire on a 16' flat rack. I have done a short search on the net for rim width charts for different size tires and haven't come up with anything for ag wagon wheels. Any ideas from you tire guys?

I'm sure you will find the 9,5 is considerable narrower that the 11.I think an 8" rim is the right one for a 9.5" tire.11.2
should have a 10"(i think) rim to be 'right'.

Thanks, I assume it will be better with 9.5L's. Some 9.5"s look darned near as wide as an 11L.Where the sidewall on the 11s is a little tight is above the rim about three inches, maybe two inches. It's on a Westendorf gear with five hole rims so I assume it is a 6 ton. I have a hunch the original rims were 6".
