Wheel weight removal

I'd like to remove most of these, this thing was definitely nailed to the ground! I haven't checked, but the tires may be loaded too

How difficult is it to remove the hub flange? I don't think the inside ones will come off without removing the drive hub. There are 3 outside, 3 inside, so 12 total..if I empty the tires,, I might keep 2 on each side

Anyone need some weights?
Oh,, 52-53 U

I'm not sure but I think they'll come off over the hub

I'd pull the rims and tires and then the outer weights and then you should be able to unbolt the cast wheel center from the axle hub and get the inner ones with out having to pull the axle hub off the axle

Thanks guys.
I don't know how they got these weights put on, they have what looks like a loooong bolt thru all 6 weights..at all 4 attaching holes..I've gotta plan, remove 2 bolts opposite each other, put a 'short' bolt for the ones on the inside and proceed to at least take off the outside ones
Still gonna be a chore,, they look like they gettin heavier all the time....

The best way i found to remove (heavy) wheel weights is to (assuming you've got a skidsteer) is to put a set of pallet forks right up to it to catch it while you unbolt it... Good luck!.
Oh yea,, there's gonna be a FEL helping,, I'm gettin to old to really handle one's this heavy,, an I sure don't wanna drop one on my toe...

You could remove the wheel as mentioned and then block the weights up just enough to take the weight off of them. That is how I used to install them... had a block to set them on so I didn't have to handle them much. Might be a little tricky though.

here is what i do. have a bolt with the head cut off and have that hole at the top. take the bolt out and screw the stud in. then you can remove all bolts and slide the weight off the stud. and not risk dropping the weight on your foot or valve stem, lol. then u be really mad. the valve stem should never be at the bottom anyhow. same deal to install weights, screw the stud in and lift the weight onto it. then start your bolts.

I have a forklift. Problem solved.
