Wheel weights again

I checked the archives till I was crosseyed, but did not find quite what I was looking for. I removed my wheel weights when I put new rims and tires on my 8N years ago. I now want to install them on my V8N. The weights are two semicircles, each weighing about 100#. There are three notches in each, with the center notch being larger. Question: Were there bolts in all three notches? if so, why is the center one larger? if I could locate my original bolts, I could answer my own question!

I have three section ones, and the larger notch is for the valve stem. I have bolts in all my notches. they take a tapered hold down that you can buy new.

My 2 pc weights have cut out for stem. These are only about 50#s each half, 2 sets each side, Valve stems on inside.

I usually leave the middle bolt out because it makes
them easier to get on and off, while on the tractor,
without loosening the center disc from the rim. the
hole may have been widened to accommodate an
existing nut. Over the years I have done this on
several tractors without any problems with the
weights coming loose.

Would you let please me know where you bought your hold down bolts that are tapered, been looking for some. THANK YOU

I do believe you answered my question Kirk. It appears the weights may have been designed with the middle slot cast larger to accommodate the bolt left holding the rim to the disk. My weights clearly were not meant to be used with wedges, nor were they modified. They do look exactly like yours. Thank you for the pic and reply. I will say they are a pain to wrestle in and out of the sandblaster!

The ones on my rim were the same weight 100 lbs a
section. Yup, they are a pain to move.
