Wheel weights

Just picked up some wheel weights, they are made in kaukuana,wi. I am putting these on an 8n and would like to keep my wheel spacing at 48" inside to inside. Mainly use the tractor for plowing with a ferguson 14" 2 bottom. The problem I'm running into is that the weights stick out the wheel past the tire and the bolts stick out even further. I see ultra dog from mn has the same weights on his tractor and was just wondering if someone knows how he has his wheel/ rim combo set up to keep the weights inside his rims?

I think Ive got a set of those and if they are Roloff? they barely stick out, whats the problem?

I assume these are the weights you are referring to?
These are the 3 piece ones from Roloff in Kaukuana,WI
Take a look at the diagram in the second picture.
This is from an original owners manual that shows how to adjust your rims and centers to get the wheel spacing you desire.
It takes a bit to get your head around it all but you will learn how to set your rims on the centers so your weights don't stick out and still have the correct tire spacing for plowing.
I think I had the spacing set at the narrowest setting = 52". It was just right for plowing.
A couple words of advice on those weights:
When you install them tighten them up good then go around and tighten them again. Then go drive your tractor around for half an hour and tighten them again. Then work the tractor for a week and tighten them again. They will want to loosen on you till you get them snugged up.
Also, keep the space between the rims and weights Clean. When I bought these weights the rims they came off were badly rusted due to dirt and crud building up in there. The crud held moisture and rotted out the rims. I make a point of blowing mine out a couple of times a year with a pressure washer.
I love these weights. Have had them on 3 or 4 different tractors now. I will sell you my tractor but NOT my weights
