I"m going to be getting a subsoiler soon, so I"m guessing I will probably need some wheel wts. Are pie wts. easy to find? What would be an average price for a set? Do they fit on any type of wheels? Are there other types of wts.? Sorry for all the questions. Your help is appreciated.

What kind of tractor do you have? If it's a Hundred series then yes, I believe pie weights are the only weights made for them. There were 2 or 3 different sets of pie weights made for the different style rear wheels. The standard rear wheels accept any of the weights. If you have the power adjust rims you have to use the smaller weights. I believe the average price is about $500 for a set. They are now being produced again so if you can't find a used set you can get brand new ones.

We need to know what model tractor you have in order to answer your question.

As to pie weights, they are becomming difficult to find and expensive. New imported reproduction heavy pie weights have been available from Steiners but I believe that they are closing them out.

The new ones sell for around $700+ per set plus shipping from MI ($$$).

I sold a complete original set of heavy pie weights about 2 years ago for $550, and it sold immediately. The price has gone up since then.

I plan to sell another heavy set of rears complete with a heavy set of fronts in a month or so but have not finished sandblasting, priming and painting them.

You may be able to get by with CaCl or RimGuard if your tractor is heavy enough.
