The points are not installed in these pictures. They are in a box beside the tractor waiting for my father-in-law to put them back on.
The "coil tag" is what I called the identification tag on the side of the magneto assembly below the coil cover.

can't get the serial number until this weekend. I thought if I explained the issue it might jog someone's brain. I'm going to post some pictures

Running the poor guy ragged, my guess is he just got the photos this weekend. I think he did a good job with that mock up drawing, just wasn’t enough for anybody to positively ID it.

Update: I have posted pictures of his tractor ignition set up. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the rotor for it? It is missing in the picture. Put the points in it & check for spark out of the coil. If none, send it to me & I will make it spark again. Thanks.

We plan on doing that when the weather breaks some. It's pouring down here most of this week. My father-in-law can't take the cold so we work on the tractor when we have warm spells.
