My Farmall BA has a rear flat tire. I plan to put slime in it but the way the valve stem sits right now to put slime in it I have to rotate the tire. So do I air it up and them let the air out and put the slime in and then air it back up. Or do I air it up drive it to the shop where I have chain hoist etc to make it easier to work on and the n let the air out and put the slime in and then air it up and let it sit an spin the tire around the spread the slime around inside the tire?? By the way the way I have to air it up in the field is a small battery powder air compressor so very slow to do but the shop on the other hand has a big air compressor with a large tank so airing it back up is pretty fast

Where ever you do it I would have the tire regain its correct shape - not flat on one side. I also think I would air it up and pour some soapy water over it and see if I could find where the leak is. Maybe its a leak slime can't fix. I would put in just enough air in the field to get it to the shop.

This is a tube type tire so checking where it leaks say very little

I would not put slime in. Air tire up in field and drive to shop and take tire off and get fixed

If I did it that way it would mean a new tire. The tire shows a lot of cranks due to age but if it wasn't for the weather checking it would look almost new. I put slime in my Olive S88 rear tire 2 or 3 years ago and it is still staying aired up

Unless the casing has broken and pinched the tube inside the tire, the weather cracks don't affect the tube. It may have been punctured, the valve core has failed, or the tube has rotted and failed. If the casing damage is pinching the tube, Slime isn't going to fix it. And you aren't going to fix it correctly it appears.

Here is a simple way to decide. If someone asked you the same questions you asked about what to do, what would you tell them to do? What you would tell them to do is your answer to your questions (you are already finding reasons to reject answers given to you by others here so there is no value in our responses). You could have been done by now if you had just gone ahead and done what you would tell someone else what they should do to fix it.
