Whining ym3000

My ym3000 has lately developed a really noticeable what I'm going to call a whining noise in the lift. It is coming from under the seat area, not at the front/engine part of the tractor. Not where the hydraulic pump is. And-it seems to be most noticeable on the right side of the under seat area. I made a short video but file size is too large for uploading-so I made an audio recording. Hopefully you can hear enough to make sense of it. I was manipulating lift arm up and down while I was recording. Anybody have any ideas??

My old ears don't hear any change between beginning and ending. Are you familiar with the sound of a relief valve releasing? Did the noise come up suddenly or gradually.

No, I unfortunately don't have any experience with relief valve noises. It came on over the span of the last 2, 3, or maybe 4 times I've used it. I used it a few days ago and didn't hear anything. But today it's back.

Either a valve was turned to restrict flow for the whine as Winston pointed out or there is a good possibility the hydraulic screen re-usable mesh is clogging up fast and soon the tractor will stop working all-together until the fluid is drained and the screen mesh is cleaned in a 5-gallon bucket with diesel and a soft tooth brush.

Your YM3000 is like a YM2500 for the rear hydraulic system. The Deere service manual TM1192 would cover this completely in English and it's for free on the YTOG. I had the misfortune of my first time in dead of winter and on an solid sheet of ice while plowing the driveway. It was brutal.

Clean it until there is no debris and you can see light thru the holes when held up to the sun or shop light.

And the most important part, refill with CLEAN JDM J20C fluid that is spec'ed out for our machines. That is Yanmar TF500A or Deere Hygard or a known brand stating 'meet's JDM J20C and never compatible nor recommended (marketing hype). Also Kubota UDT meets JDM J20C as well in cause you are comparing prices. Its the same fluid overall. You will need 19qts !!!

I just changed hydraulic fluid last April with Traveller Premium Universal Tractor Trans-Hydraulic Fluid. It's J20C. I didn't attack the mesh screen with a toothbrush but I did rinse it with diesel until it looked clean. Seems like I even rinsed it with gasoline after diesel and then let it air dry. I would love to have the Deere service manual TM1192 but I'm in Mississippi and YTOG won't let me in for some reason

First turn off your VPN, then login to the YTOG. Turn on the VPN, now navigate to the WIKI section, it a member only area. Membership is free.

YIKES! gasoline on the olifin membrane mesh media. That's a no-no. This can melt the olifin plastic mesh!
