Getting my planter ready for beans.Have only used it for corn till now. Book says that each cell of the bean plate will pick up 2 seeds, but most of the time is only dropping one per cell. With 38" rows I should be at 12-14 per foot but even with the rate set at max am only getting 7 -9 per foot. Have tried lower and higher air preasures with no change. seed are plenty small 3250/#. any suggestions thanks

I'm fairly sure that there are two soy bean discs, one with 60 cells and an "U" shaped air orfice on the edge of the disc at each cell = 60 seeds per revolution. The other 60 cell disc has a cell with the U orfice plus a hole throuch the cell about 1/2 '' from the edge of the disc and carries two seeds per cell, 120 seeds per revolution, You need the one that holds 2 seeds per cell for 38' rows.

The transmission is at the max setting and I've got bean plates.but I don't know if I've got the correct ones as described by 90%ret. Will have to check that in the morning. thanks

there is another sproket you can add to trans drive shaft to speed trans up. it is about half the size as the one on it.

As stated, there are 2 soybean plates, 852432 and 852433, 120 seeds and 60 seeds per disc. With the 60 seeds per disc you will not plant more than 100K per acre set at 30 inch rows. Check the disc numbers.
