Well, being that old, i'd say just run it, or sell it. Lots of guys looking for a cheap lawn tractor.
Does it have the variable pulley drive, with two belts? Those pulleys tend to rust and stick, altho, if they are in good shape, they run just as good as the ones that Sears sells/ sold. RJ
