Who makes Matco cordless tools?

I'm coming into possession of a 14.4V Matco impact driver and wonder what other tools might take the same battery. I know Matco tools are made by someone else, but I haven't been able to find out who.

Thanks for the help.

I'm not positive, but I think IR is making some of their cordless tools. I know they make a lot of Matco's air tools.

..I'm going to guess China! I don't know what trade name companies brand and distribute, but even Black and Decker, Ryobi, and all "good" brand names are getting made in china.

Just because someone else makes Matco doesn't mean that they will be like the ones that company makes for themselves.

Matco cordless tools are made by PTI (Professional Tool Inc), a company that Matco is heavily involved with in Taiwan. Matco co-designs the tools with PTI and they are exclusive to Matco. If the tool is red and black, it is an earlier version, but batteries are still available. They are ni-cad. The grey and black tools are the current models, and are far more powerfull. They used lithium-ion batteries. If you don't have a local dealer, you can use matcotools.com.
