I thought finally I bought a tractor that wouldnt require any new books! But now I see my op manual is 460 and 560 farmall and only 560 utility. I can find manuals for it but I'm curious why the difference?

560 Wheat land? I have not heard of a 560 utility. The 460 utility is in my IT for the 460- 560 row crop. Mostly there is steering and hydraulic parts that are different than the Farmall tractors. I also
believe there can be some hitch differences also.

no such thing as a 560 utility, or is this a typo error. the 460 utility is the standard version of the 460 farmall. as for the general stuff you can find it in any one of those manuals. and since your talking operators manual, well you pretty well have to be green to not get by operating a tractor. do you read our operators manual when u buy a new vehicle, no jump in put in gear and go, tractor no different.

Probably a operators manual is different because of placement and difference of some parts, difference in controls and some maintaining of tractor, different location for lubing and servicing of some things.

Of course I read the operator's manual! Always learn something and it clarifies the intended use because there are always small changes year to year model to model. Hopping on an old machine and expecting the ta to be the same as a later one for example would cause some problems for example. Plus I simply enjoy the read.

The reprint I have was an IH publication and specifies a 560 Utility. I agree it doesnt appear as a utility in the photos but rather a standard. But its labeled as a utility. And its controls are closer to the 460 Utility I got than my Farmall 460. I found it odd a separate manual for just the 460 was warranted.
