The Schwartz for a 400 is slightly different from the one for a 560, but they should interchange easily.

There are couple of dealers that sell them on here. With the purchase of a used front end and some new replacement parts there might not be a big difference in price.

About $1,500.

The Ackerman on a proper 560 front end won't be quite right for the slightly shorter 400, so there will be some skidding in sharp turns.

I have a wfe under a parts 706 that i was told would fit all the way down to an M. I believe it to be a swartz (spelling?) $600 I am in NE MS 38843

I have a Swarts from a 400 on a SuperM.The 'tightest' turning Wide front I 've ever seen.Yes the 560 will fit 400.In fact ,M through 1256(and possibly 1456) are 'interchangeable'.I had a 1026 that had a Swarts.

If complete, think the rear saddle would be a little tall. Would have to shim or spacer the pivot housing that bolts to the bolster down some.
