Wide front Super C Jacking

Hey all I am going to take the wide front off my Super C to do some work (welding) and was wondering if the safest place to jack up is the flat spot behind the oil pan? Thanks

That is a fine place. Have a hard wood block on top of the metal of the jack. 3/4inch is OK. block the rear wheels to prevent rolling and lock the brakes. Lift only enough to do the work. Use wood cribbing behind the jack to assure no falling off the jack can harm the tractor. Another approach is to jack the front at the casting, then crib up the back at that spot. then lower the front. This allows the cribbing to be best placed. Jim

Block the rear wheels but do not set the brakes. When you jack it up the rear tires can walk, let it swing on the rear axle.
