wide front vs narrow front

I personally like the home made wide fronts that are only about 3 foot wide. Thats what Im building for my 77. But it depends what classes you want to run I think some places they're illegal. If your talking a factory wide front I would go with a narrow because of the extra weight the factory wide front would add.

Do not know on an Oliver, but the wide front MM is lighter than narrow. Some due to rear axle length but also lighter front.

I use Farmalls. I have had my eyes set on an Oliver though.
I perfer narrow front ends. At least in the world of Farmalls, the narrow front end allows more movable weight. Plus, with my new trailer I could pack 4 narrow front end tractors on.

It all depends on the tractor and weight your pullin as well as the track conditions but from my experiance the lower classes narrow is better cause you can manipulate the weight where ya want it. most everyone around here has narrow fronts in the lower classes. 7500lb on up is where ya might see wide fronts. weight transfer to back wheels is key. just my opinion
