Wife update

She soaked the finger in hydrogen peroxide last night before bed and used bag balm on the bandage. It feels quite a bit better this morning. Gonna be a sore son-of-a-gun for a few days, though. No blood buildup under the skin since the soaking in peroxide.

Last year she broke a foot helping cut wood. I think she is trying to tell me something! Lol!

After hearing my wife's remark about "that being my trigger finger!" Jeff's kids just about cracked up. "That's what we love about you Grandma. You're the coolest Grandma ever".

As to the remark about Bag Balm, Lowville Wall-Mart pharmacy orders it special and keeps it in stock, even though the chain itself doesn't stock it, simply because they sell a large quantity of Bag Balm.

Bag balm sounds good. Grandpa would have covered it in axle grease which isn't much different. I willl say that I've smeared axle grease on a few animal wounds when I didn't know what to do and they healed right up. My other grandpa poured gasoline on everything, but I think I'd avoid that. She'll stink up the house.

Also good to soak something like that in Epsom salt. Similar thing happened to my wife except she broke the end of her finger. After the hospital, x-rays all that, it was really bothering her I told her to soak in Epson salt and a piece of bark came out from under the loose fingernail. Felt much better. We don't have a very good local hospital.

When Shania Twain was asked about the secret of her youthful looks, she replied....Dr. Naylor's bag balm...true Story! Ben

Geeze Don, when and if my wifey helps me split wood, she runs the lever and I boost the blocks onto the splitter. Your time haveing her help you with wood may be limited, with last years broken foot and now this. HeHe.

Years ago my grandmother had bad sores on her legs, doc precribed expensive ointment that didn' seem to help. She ran out while doc on vacation, she put bag balm on and in about two days the sores were well on their way to being healed

I'm glad she is ok, with that statement about her trigger finger, I can only picture Granny from Beverly hill billies,,,,
Sorry I don't mean that in a negative way! But that quote remindes me of her!
