I have a NOS Willard 6 volt battery that is still in box and never had acid added and was thinking that if acid is added the battery should be still good? I think it fits a 50's Ford car or truck

Are you able to post a photo of it? This might be something you put on eBay or sell it to someone who would use it in a museum piece.

I remember Willard batteries as being good batteries. I just recently saw a want ad, someone looking for at least an old battery case for an authentic restoration. Might be some value as such. I would think it would work if acid was added

I remember them back then. “Willard “was in red on the side of the black case.

Check out Battery Central Mall before you do anything with it. They have 6 volt AGM Willard retro batteries for antique automobiles. Cost $400 each.

BCM is like Coker Tires of the battery world.

I bought a new "dry battery" for my 49 Pontiac in 1996. Put acid in it when we got the car roadable the winter of 2022. Been working flawlessly since.
