Windshield Wiper Arm

I have a 1999 JD 4200HST with a Jo Dale Perry Cab. My Problem is with the Windshield Wiper Arm/Blade. The motor works fine, back and forth, but when you turn the Wipers off, the Arm/Blade stops in the middle, instead of up and out of the way of your vision. Can this be adjusted?

You'll have to take the gear box apart at the output shaft to see if there is anything left of the circuit board and brush wiper that is supposed to allow current to flow until the arm reaches it's 'stop' point. The 'brush' could be all worn out or the circuit board is defective due to the all the wiping done on it in this area. BUT there is also the very good chance that a slight cleaning and re-adjusting of the brush arm will restore it to working condition again. Otherwise it's a new motor that will contain the fix for this. It boils down to what's your time worth VS the cost of a new motor.

Thanks for your input. The Cab for my JD was manufactured by Jodale Perry Co. of Canada. I sent them a message requesting availability/pricing for the motor. If available and the price is reasonable I'll replace the motor. Thanks again.
