Winter Project: Early Completion

It?s a M&W PTO I just restored and upgraded. I?ll be testing it out tomorrow with a tractor. It?ll be interesting to compare the mechanical gauge
readings with the electronic meter and data logging software readings. I should be able to print out horsepower/torque charts.

That is so cool! What is the maximum horsepower that unit is rated to?

The maximum mechanical gauge reading is 1500 psi, which corresponds to 96 hp at 535 PTO rpm.

I have a dyno like yours and I once checked HP on a IH 1468 at about 150 using the 1000 rpm pto. I also checked a 4-71T Detroit at near 200 HP going thru the truck transmission and connecting the driveshaft to the splined shaft on the dyno that turns the opposite direction. You could not run it long because of the heat that was generated with that much HP.
My dyno don't look quiet a good as yours but it still works great.
