Very nice. Great looking tractors Leroy. Did you use the same paint on both tractors? The NAA seems to have more shine to it. The 8N finish looks more like the way my jubilee turned out.
Were these ground up restorations?
Good job.

Yes they were ground up restoration. The 8N is painted with paint from external_link and the NAA is painted with Ford New Holland with high gloss hardner.

They both look good, my 860 and 4000 both where in the shed when a tornado blew it away, they need restored now!!! Need a job???

Dang it all, Leroy....how about giving us a "shiny warning" next time. Did you do all those this past year or is that spread out over several years??

Leroy
great looking job on both, hope to do my 640 this coming winter. Hope mine turns out half that nice, did you put new tires on too?

Yep. I had an NAA equipped that way for a short while. Twenty-four forward speeds! Low-Low-Low was pretty slow!

Beautiful job Leroy,
Would you mind giving out your paint/thinner/hardner ratio.I remember a professional painter from a different forum saying to get that "Wet" look he put in a little more thinner and hardner than normal. But I don't remember the brand or ratio he used.

I used a Ford-New Holland paint with a PPG hardner with a 8 to 1 ratio. I used just a samll amount of thinner. The paint was almost thin enough. If you need the numbers of the products, I can get them for you. I was just testing, They said at PPG that they didn't know if it would work or not.

Thanks Leroy,I don't need the numbers. You can tell the guys at PPG that it definitely worked.
