Wire for Super C lights

I just ran new wires to add lights to my Super C and thought I would post how I did it in case someone else is looking for a way to do it some day. First thing I did was blow all the junk out of the passages. A lot of stuff blew out that would have held up fishing the wires through, I then unbolted the steering assembly from the top of the gauge box so I could see inside from the bottom. That was easy as I already had everything unhooked from splitting the tractor for an oil seal change at the transmission. At that point I just put a small bend on the end of the wire and ran it down the tube the lights attach to from each direction and the little bend caused it to go right down the vertical passage where I could grab it. I first tried it from the bottom up but couldn't get the wire to make the bend and keep it moving. Just have to put the wire through the top of the gauge box and bolt down the steering assembly. Really glad to have it done.

Thanks for posting . It’s not easy , I struggled with mine .
It’s sure nice to have lights working when it’s done though!

Thank you for that information. That will come in handy in the future… unless those anti-post-to-the-top-of-the-page people have their way… then your tip will be buried in the catacombs somewhere…

Did you bring down two wires or did you Y them at the T like factory. BG

I brought down 2 separate wires. I didn't know they originally were connected at a T. Nothing was left of the old stuff to know how it was previously done.

I think the two wires coming down is better, no joint. The factory used that old cloth covered wire from side to side then crimped a second wire at the center and used that old cloth black tape to insulate then bringing it down to the dash. B.G.
