Remove number one spark plug and roll engine over with a wrench on the front crank shaft pulley until you feel compression. When the piston is at the top.Small screwdriver in the spark plug hole to determine when the piston stops coming up. This is top dead center on number one cylinder .Remove the distributor cap and determine direction of rotor. This will be number one position. Spark plug wire on number goes to position the rotor is pointing. Firing order is 1,2,4,3, clockwise

Looks like #1 wire is the one closest to the engine with the wire still on. The rest look like they follow the pattern that WayneIA stated by the way the boots are pointing.

- Still do as he says to find TDC of #1 cylinder and find the cap tower the rotor is pointing to for wire #1.

If I go by look and you go clock wise on the cap the one that is mostly still there is #1 then the next one by the oil cap is #2 then the next one #4 and the last one #3 but that could well be way off. Only way to be 100% sure it get #1 up to TDC and see where the rotor is and also watch which way the rotor spins and then go from there. Firing order is 1,2,4,3

Looks like the top one is number one. Clockwise 1-2-4-3. If I'm wrong and it's counterclockwise swap numbers 2 and 3
