Wisconsin Flooding

Sounds like southeast Wisconsin is getting our water. This was the worst spring in my memory. A May so wet we couldn't turn a wheel. Now things are burning up with high heat and no rain.

The storm, the night before last, dumped about 8" on us in 10 hours. Don't recall the last time I saw the bar tread tracks in my hay field getting smoothed over by rain.... amongst other things.... like losing about 85% of my corn patch. FLATTENED!! Initially figured it was due to lodging, but I'm not the only one with that problem. Even the "pro's" have corn down.

Milwaukee & the 'burbs got it worse than we did.

The train tracks in the Tosa footage go right through my old stomping grounds. Used to watch the Milwaukee Road go hot footin' through there with the Fast Ford to Minneapolis, as well as many of their other trains. Even recall the "patrols" that served the local industries. The local job, in this case, ran from the main yard in the Menomonee River Valley all the way out to Brookfield. Those patrol jobs are long gone, as no one along the main line uses rail service anymore.
