We were given a woods picker (gray) and we use it for a couple acres of corn. I would like to get a diagram of the gathering chains. The short one on the inside does not turn. We have looked at it and can't see why it doesn't turn. Any help out there would be appreciated. Gordy in Mn.

I had one years ago and the Ford dealer printed out a parts diagram for me.
You might get lucky like I did.

They get rid of the “www.” In front of it I guess.

If you are trying to link the one at the tractor club site that begins with an N ahead of the tractor club, that site has been a no-no and blocked for years.

Thanks it helps some. The bottom gathering chain will turn freely in the right direction but when you turn it backwards it locks up. Run it on a tractor it will not turn. I have a parts book coming so hope that helps. thanks for the info. Gordy in Mn.

It would help a ton to know how far, in terms of shafts and gears, that things are turning. You've got a key sheared somewhere or something. Is the shaft turning inside of the sprocket the chain is on?

Yes the shaft goes inside the top gathering chain sprocket. We have looked for a hole where a pin may have been sheared. Nothing. I mentioned a centrifugal clutch in there, but they laughed and droughted that was the case. We belong to a group at the fair grounds and need to pick corn that was in a food plot. Thanks for all the feed back. Gordy in Mn.

I didn't say a pin through it, a key inside of the gear in a slot in the shaft. Most likely a woodruff (half moon) key.

Yes that's what we were thinking too. We will address it in a couple of weeks. First we have to pick or corn, approximately 1 and 1/2 acre. Thanks again to everyone who replied. Gordy in Mn.

If you run it like that, you'll ruin the shaft and sprocket both.
