Woods RM59 PTO Question

I just purchased the mower at an auction and the tractor side pto yoke is what I think is called a 68 spline according to the parts book ... I will need to convert to the 6 spline, is there a yoke available to do this - I have never tackled something like this before. I appears that the mower side yoke is a 1 3/8" smooth bore from what I can tell or is it also splined? Thanks for your help!

I have a Woods RM306 and it hooked right up to my '67 3000. The mower side is a smooth bore with a key way and a pinch bolt and the tractor side was your typical 6 spline. They make PTO spline adapters you can put between your implement and tractor so it should be pretty simple to adapt and hook up. What kind of tractor will you be running it with?

I will be using it on a Bolens G154 diesel 4wd, only plan on using it for some small food plots back in the woods. The tractor side of the pto has a 20+ spline, I was thinking I could just change the yoke half to a 6 spline, just not sure how to go about getting what I need.

I bet the power shaft got swapped mistakenly by the auction company. An 1 3/8” 21 spline is a common higher horse power 1000 rpm shaft. Someone else was probably upset when they found a 540 shaft with their 1000 rpm machine. You should be able to get the correct yoke from a power train supplier. I think I am going to use a pto shaft that I already have that has 6 spline female ends on both ends - just need to get an adapter for the RM59. I have been unable to remove the shaft from the mower so far ... I got the pinch bolt out but there appears to be a shear pin or ? that also goes through the shaft from the outer yoke housing - checked manual and it says nothing about this pin, can't tell if it has threads or what - no nut on it but one side sticks out about 1/4" - anybody know how to get it out? I measured the mower shaft behind the yoke and I came up with 1-3/8" but found a place in the manual that talks about 1-3/16", need to get the yoke off to make sure - now that darn pin??

Got the pin out! I was a roll pin, drove out with drift and big hammer ... and yes the shaft size is 1-3/8". Only adapter I found were either $100 or $200! Gonna buy a 1-1/4" and have it bored out to 1-3/8".
