Woodylock sand blaster

Just tried one, my son bought one for his small gas powered power washer and wasn't impressed, I purchased a much larger power washer from a friend and gave the blaster a try, seems to work very well, so gpm and pressure seem to be important, I used it on a weight bracket for my massey 180 and id guess 15 min and half a sack of abrasive got it down to bare metal, nice part no blasting dust. looking forward to trying it agin.

Mike is right about a larger power washer being needed. Several things to consider... first make sure you always wear eye protection. With the abrasive mixed with water you don't always feel it hitting your eyes and it will scratch them (hurts like hell the next day). Second when doing steel know that there will be flash rust. You can reduce it by using a compressor to blow off the water but you will still need to wipe off some flash rust.
Great for removing paint from cement, bricks and blocks. Nice to not have the dust but harder to reuse abrasive. Hope this helps.

I don't think I would like the sand blaster. I re-use my sand and having it mixed with water I would have to dry the sand out before I could do that. It would cut down on the airborne dust but most of the time I use a sand blast cabinet which the shop vac catches the dust. Using it in the open I wear a respirator.

I have a blaster that connects to the pressure washer. When I use it, is when I clean out my blast cabinet. Run the used media first, then add additional if I need it. But, yeah recycling media is not really practical.

The no dust is nice, you still get sand everywhere even wearing a good rain suit. The flash rust can be a hassle. It took me a couple tries to find the right tip for the water to match my washer. You need the right size orfice to build pressure, and I found a 10 deg fan worked better than a 0 deg. These things also get heavy holding the nozzle and hose up after a while.
