Work gloves

Hey guys, who makes the most durable work gloves these days? I don't need the fancy ones that I can use with a touch screen, I need the type that hold up to weathered shovel handles, concrete block, and other rough stuff. White Mule used to be good but last pair I bought the stitching pulled out the first time I put them on. When I took them back to the store the clerk said "they all do that". Pure junk.

Best I've found is @ Costco 3 pack all leather for about $15-20. They fit me well & wear the best for general work.

I like General Ironclad gloves for warm weather use they wear well and there not bulky they fit snug.

I wear these anytime I go outside of the house to do anything at home as well as soon as I get inside the factory. The seem to keep help with the pain in my crippled left hand also. The coating helps with my grip as well. Dixie orders them on line two packs at a time. One pair lasts a couple weeks doing most things. When I get into gas or grease I just toss them away.

Harbor Freight sells a leather roper glove that lasts and fits me. Watch for them on sale and buy 5 pairs.
I also find HD sells a fabric glove that is pretty good. Often on sale for 3 prs for $7.00.

Now tell me about a good cold weather glove, I mean 0 degrees.

I don't know if you have Kinco gloves where you are, but they
make some that are double thick with a green leather in spots.
Gauntlet style and very heavy. They're the bees knees for tough
stuff like barbwire and rocks and metalwork. For the lighter
stuff, I really like Mechanixwear Fastfit.

These.

in-too-deep, where do you get your gloves? Can you find a model/style number on them anywhere?

Normally I just use the el-cheapo leather work gloves found at Walmart or any of the box stores. Thing is, with quality being so hit-n-miss, I'll remove the staple and try on BOTH gloves. I check for fit, too big a hem inside glove, proper stitching, weak spots in leather, etc.

Then, before I ever use a pair, I take some Gorilla-brand duct tape and fold a piece lengthwise along the inside of the gauntlet cuff. Then I'll take a 2nd piece slightly shorter and put it perpendicular to the first, in center of the first piece. Doing this stops (in its tracks!) the pre-mature wear of the cuff from repeated on-and-off, as well as wear of the fabric mesh. The gloves end up lasting usually more than twice as long because of these 2 pieces of tape!

Sometimes, however, I need a glove with heavier leather. In the past I would grab a pair of arc welding gloves, but really like the ones that [b:4971d94594]in-too-deep[/b:4971d94594] posted. Found some that look similar on eBay, but they say they're generic; not Kinco:
