World Series

[ILLEFTY]

How about those Cardinals? WOW!!!
Rangers played one heck of a series, but there can only be one winner.
CARDINALS!!!

[Cards Fan]

Listened to the whole season on radio. Thought I'd get to watch the WS on T.V. But they changed my local fox station around here and couldn't pick it up Thanks to the feds and their Digital T.V Idea. They let the regular announcers Mike Shannon and John Rooney do the games up to the WS. But when the WS started I guess they thought I'd rather hear the ESPN Radio announcers who were rather annoying and way to pro texas. But it was a great series and run the cardinals went on would have been SO much better with Mike and John on the radio.
Hope the WS win is enough to keep Albert Pujols Although I think He'll stay and not break the bank.
And for those who think baseball players make too much money The cardinals Played over 220 games this year counting the preseason. Its alot of work to be that good over that amount of day's.

I work about 275 days a year and am good at what I do and I never made millions per year.

Just saying.

At 1 game a day is 220 days of work. At 5 mill a year it's $22700.000 a day. If they "only" make $440,000.00 a year, it's "only" $2000 a day. They get paid extra for the playoffs, that's their overtime. Yeah, they are overpaid!

That guy in game 6 that caught the homerun ball just wanted the ball signed. Screw that-- if I caught that ball I would sell it to the highest bidder.
It sickens me to see what these sports heroes are paid, The only way it will change is when the regular people stop going to the games and paying for the tickets.

I had mixed emotions regarding the series, a win-win situation. I'm an Astros fan and suffered through a disastrous season, one of many. Before the Astros, the Houston Buffs were a farm club of the Cardinals, so I have always been somewhat of a Cardinal fan.
However, I had to pull for Nolan Ryan's team. I watched both Nolan and his wife Ruth grow up and they are two of the finest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. After Nolan had by-pass surgery about 10 years ago, he and I talked several times. So I was pulling for him as much as for the Rangers.
The Cardinals seemed to be a miracle team this year, coming from over 10 games back late in the season. The Rangers had them down in game six but couldn't hang on. It was a great series and both teams deserve credit for a great season.

I'm a Cardinal fan but would not take the energy to turn radio on to listen to Mike Shannon, world's worst, good thing he married into the Busch family or he would be out picking sh!t with the chickens.

I am also anxiously awaiting 'ol slobbers retirement.

I've never listened to a game since they went on strike years ago and took away our world series. I know when I'm not appreciated.
