Tank wagon delivered gas to the farm this week. Was $3.44 a gallon east central Illinois. Went to a tractor show in Elnora IN yesterday and paid $2.89 in Linton.

Mornin hillbilly, good to hear. In response to your report and for history only, gas price versus time in my area is as follows. When I left Bloomington headed to the Elnora Indiana tractor show it was $3.39 still high,,down some from the beginning 2021 four dollar range,,much higher than the years prior to 2021. Of course prices vary in different areas, I’m only reporting the price in my area (not far from you) no more no less. It is what it is, no problem for many of us older settled gents.

Pretty good and fun show despite fairly warm weather but it’s summertime in Indiana it gets hot here and weather can change quickly.

It’s always good to hear when prices come down yayyy thanks for posting hillbilly !!!!

Gas buddy said we were about fifty cents cheaper than a year ago labor day and the gas is lower.

Some are predicting we are heading towards a recession.

I hear ya. In all my working career I've never driven less than 60 miles a day, and for most of it, it was more than that. So buying gas was just something you did, regardless of price. Didn't always like it, but there was no choice.

This morning it was $3.149 here for regular. We buy the E88 15% ethanol, which is 15 cents a gallon less than that.

My calculator says that comes to about $2.77 USD per US gallon. Did I figure this out correctly? My high school physics teacher (Mr. Radomsky) would have a cow if the units didn't cancel out properly. I think they do ...

(0.99 CDN dollar/litre) x (0.74 US dollar/CDN dollar) x (3.78 litres/US gallon) = 2.77 US dollar/US gallon

Please explain how the left lowers the price. Neither side has the ability to do that. What is happening because this current administration has allowed record drilling there is a huge supply therefore prices are dropping. Basic economics, it’s called supply and demand.

I live there too and think the tax and gas prices are ridiculous. But what I don’t understand is if you dislike it that much why don’t you move somewhere else?
