WR-9 Flywheel Ring Gear

I've got a WR-9 that has a loose ring gear. You can move it around with your fingers with the starter removed - I'm pretty sure that it has a break in it too (Is it supposed to have a split to be able to install it?). I've been told that you can access the flywheel by removing the large plate above it, but I don't see how I would be able to do anything with it without removing the engine. Also, if I need a new ring gear, where could I get one?

I've had this project on the back burner (with a lot of other projects) for a while, but I'd like to start working on it pretty soon.

Thanks in advance for any response.

Removing the plate will allow you access to the clutch disk and pressure plate. Don't know about the flywheel.

Anyone know if he could tack weld the ring gear to the flywheel? Don't think it should be broken, but shrink fit to the flywheel.

Do you have a hand crank for it? Mine starts easily with a hand crank, but YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW TO HANDLE A CRANK! Or you can break an arm, hand or thumb!

Yes, I have a hand crank for it - and yeah, I know they can be dangerous if you don't use it right. I had already thought about doing that or pull starting it - at least to see if I can get it running before I do anything else.
