Wrong carburator?

I recently finished rebuilding the carb. on my 641 Workmaster. I noticed the serial numbers on the carb as well as the sediment bowl are from/for the larger 172 ci engine. Is this hurting my tractor with its smaller displacement or is it giving me more hp and eating more gas?
