Wrong wheels ?

I pulled these wheels off a Junk 9N. Dropped them off to a powdercoater and mounted the tires. Just got home and found out they do not fit my tractor too many stud holes. I was told they are a ford truck wheel. Can anyone ID these wheels and what hubs whould have been used to replace the original hubs. Thinking about going back and pulling the hubs!

Go get the hubs. 37-38 Ford used that type wheel. Used same bearings and same spindle length.

Go back to the seller and buy the hubs. You got too much into them to give up now.

That is interesting that the tractor and car used the same bearings and had the same spindle length. The 36-39 Fords used that type of wheel. I have a 36 pickup and a 39 car and they both have those same wheels. You can find them quite easily at automotive swap meets.

Your wheels even have the hub cap spring clips. You could put car hub caps on your tractor. Ha ha

those same wheels were used on ford cars and light trucks from 36'- 39', you,ll need to go back and remove the brake drums from the front spindles from the donor tractor that the wheels came from, if you really want to make a clean conversion to this style wheel, chuck the front drums into a lathe and part/turn the brake shoe portion off of the drums so they match the original hub/stud assemblies.

A problem found on my pair, was cap hit bearing race. I had to make a shim to go between the screw on cap and the hub. That was on one side only.The threads on the spindle was also stripped. I put a washer beteen the nut and bearing, and now the cotter key holds it in.
I also have one hub cap and one "Beauty ring" I also like my multirid tires on it. 6:00 X 16.

youn 9/2 n hubs are 5 stud as well.. 8n are 6.

I agree with the others.. as nice as those are.. go get the hubs!
