X700 Deere dusted engine

My x700 deere has dusted the engine at 721 hours. It appears the air filter cannot seal at the small inner seal that the air filter clamps down on. Check yours.
 
If it has a Kawasaki engine. They are notorious for overheating.
Kawasaki just just announced a recall on some engines due to over heating and potentially causing fires. Some engines used on JD are on the recall list.

I think the overheating is electrical components overheating. Thanks for the response!
 
The overheating issue is the charging system, mainly burning up the VR on some Kawasakis. We got the recall notice on all 5 of our Z950M mowers, but they don't have a resolution to fix it according to the dealer
 
Kawasaki is doing its best to fix the voltage regulator problem. The issue is they ( or their supplier) can only make so many voltage regulators each week and they are having difficulty keeping up with the demand.

One of ours has already went through 3 voltage regulators this season.
