Let me be the first to answer your question. "No". If you are asking why you are getting water in your oil, I really can't tell from here. Are you sure it is coolant? (Parked outdoors?) Could be a leaking sleeve, or cracked block, in addition to head problems.

I'll second Norm. I don't know what aerosol adhesive gasket bond adhesive is. May be alright to use but I believe Hoyes recommends no sealant on head gaskets. I do know some use the copper spray.

its the same as copper coat it just dries faster and this is the 3rd install and gasket so idk i just want suggestions on what to do i mean a used engine is 1600 and a new one is 2000 with no warranty so i mean if yanmar is so good why is there no warranty

I wish I had a good answer for you. If you have put 3 head gaskets on with no success you are evidently missing something. Are you certain the block is not cracked? Cylinder liner leaking?

I'm very surprised that you can find a new engine for your 35 year-old gray market tractor at any price. It appears you are more interested in "bad-mouthing" Yanmar than troubleshooting and solving your problem.

Agreed.

If you have replaced 3 head gaskets with the same results then you need to look somewhere else. You likely have a crack in a liner, block, or head. None of those are due to poor design or original build quality. Most likely it either overheated or froze. <U><s></s>All<e></e></U> of those things can happen to <U><s></s>ANY<e></e></U> brand tractor. Do a search for JD 2155 problems and you will find plenty.

These engines are probably the most reliable in the world. I have one pretty much the same and was running for six months until i dissasembled with: overtighten - leaking injectors (with wrong washers), washers missing from injectors pump, governor issues, tottaly worn valve seals and valves, low compression and last but not least SAND and STONES in crankcase.

P.S. Before all this happen it was undersea for 5 days.

my 1500 had freeze cracks between the liners top and bottom-repair wasn't too hard-if 1300 engine is like 1500,you could take the sump plate off and look for leak evidence around the liners.

Yanmar tractors are extremely reliable. I purchased a Yanmar YM1500 six years ago this month. The 1500 was built between 1975 and 1979. So, my tractor is at least 35 years old and could be as much as 39 years old. It has been an excellent machine. All expenses have been routine maintenance. So, Yanmars are not junk. They are some of the best-built tractors in the world.

</s>What engine does the 1300 use? If it's the 2T73A, and if you are going to scrap it, I need a crank for my 135D. Let me know.<e>
/e></QUOTE>

The 1300 has a 2tr13 engine. The 135 has a 2t73a engine, the 155 has a 2tr13a engine. On line parts list show the same part number for the crankshaft on the 135 and 155. Part #724060-21700. I expect it would be the same on the 1300 but certainly don't know it to be fact.

Sounds like it'll work. So, if the engine is replaced or the tractor is going to be scrapped, please don't let good parts people need go with it.
