Looking at a Yanmar YM146 diesel. Is there anything in particular to look for or has problems with I should consider not wanting it. Thanks
 
You might want to ask on the Yanmar Forum in the manufacturers section. There are a couple "Yanmar" guys that came over with the Yanmar forum that was added here when PartsASAP bought Hoye Tractor, and their forum, that watch that forum.
 
I've considered a 146 but after looking them over they just seem not to be the rugged/quality design of other Yanmar products. Too much aluminum for a tractor, at least IMO. I think every one I've seen advertised was in not running condition. Maybe there's a message there?
 
Ken were those gas or diesel models you saw those things on. This one is a diesel. Just thought it might be an option to using the pickup all the time for running from one place to the other, And a lot cheaper than those go buggies folks buy for 5digit prices.

I think all are diesel. Good engines, like all Yanmars, just light weight aluminum rear end rather than cast iron. For the use you mentioned it should be fine.
 
Good. Since I'm not looking to do any real pulling ,tilling or other heavy work. Just a small light tool trailer from place to place would be it. Might pull grandson on a sled in winter around the yard. He's 6 so not any load there either.
