Year for Serial number

Need the year this Oliver 77row crop was made s/n 340365 C77D. This tractor has a bronze clutch pedal.anybody know why?

My quick check says 1951.

The brass pedals and throttle lever came after the war. Some had it, some didn't. I had a 51 that had a brass clutch pedal and throttle. Something to do with brass being easier to get at the time or some such thing.

Thanks, I find it interesting that the throttle lever and the keeper appear to be all bronze.

My 77 has the bronze throttle lever, but I don't think the clutch pedal is, though. We'll have to look.

It will be bright gold and shiny! It is also very slick when wet!
