I was the guy who put a generator on the front of a CC 108. See my YT post from June and July 2020 “generator successfully mounted on the Cub”
Here is a photo of a pict from an old magazine The Family Handymam, 1978. Pincore should have continued with this considering the current trend in generator
usage. John Deere, International Cub Cadet, Murray, etc should have kept their eyes open!!!

Yes looks like it is. I posted this just for everybody’s interest. Might spur an idea for someone.
The thing is, some of these portable generators that are sold in many places now, really sit a lot! The gas goes stale if not renewed at times AND started every few months aren’t going to start when there is a demand. Whereas, the lawn tractors that we use quite often are ready to start and ready to crank a generator.
What stirred me to fabricate a generator for/on my CC, and now I adapted it to my new JD 590, is that back in 2011 the Midwest was hit with a bad windstorm. Brush down everywhere and no power for three days. I realized that I had two lawn tractors sitting in the shed not in use...couldn’t use until I cleaned up the brush And yard so that I could mow. They could have been put to use keeping fridge, freezer, sump pumps, and a light or two going.

Sears sold a generator for the Suburban GT tractors I have a 4000 watt one and use it and really like it very handy for tree trimming with an electric chain saw etc

Pertaining to my post, the white cord goes to a volt meter so that I know how fast to run the engine to maintain volts somewhere between 108 and 132 volts, a per instructions stated in operators manual. The orange tape is covering up the 240 volt outlets. The weight of the generator keeps belt tight. I can fix it tight, but find that is not needed(red thing with bolt). Has 12hp engine, runs about 1/4 throttle. Can easily start-stop generator with clutch that use to operate mower deck. Very handy. Generator is from Northern Tool and Equipment. Nice unit. I can easily remove everything from tractor. Latches on like mower mule drive did. I used Baltic birch plywood. The black cord was going to lamp, just for testing out...

I can relate to this, I use mine with electric pole saw. Pole saw from harbor freight, which works good, by the way. Hedge trimmer too
Thx for contributing the the interest here.

Here's my Winco 5300 on a 1970 JD 110 with Predator 13 hp engine.

Nice things to have. I have a 4000 watt one that mounts to the front plow hangers and runs off the pto of my 1254 Bolens

Back in the 60s and 70s, pretty much all garden tractor manufacturers had one, or an aftermarket alternative.

Wonder why they quit making them? High demand now.
Hello Cub Cadet, John Deere, and other garden tractor manufacturers....

Replying to add to my own post: it does hang kind of close to the ground and I have it up as much as I can get it. I am trying to fabricate an way of mounting it up higher in front of the grill. Maybe with a shaft, pillow blocks and two pulleys. I have since mounted this same generator on the weight frame on the front of my new JD X590.
