Ok, I have this box for an A6120R John Deere 60 head gasket. Here's a photo of the price written on it in pencil. I just checked what a new one goes for, add 10 in front of the written price and you would have the new prices. OUCH!!

I should find the receipt and scan it. I bought a new 4040 tractor in February of 1981,didn't trade anything in,paid $22,900 for it. I was at an auction one time and a guy was telling me he had bought a new 4440 about that same time for just over $28,000.

I have a mid '60's Tractor Supply Catalog I picked up from an antique store. I will post some pic/prices from that. It is shocking to say the least.

I have a 1970 Deere Dealer price book here,, my young helpers have fun pretending they are ordering new 4020's

I have an old John Deere catalog from the 60s or 70s and plow shares and sweeps were in the two or 3$ range engine oil 60 or 70 cents a gallon . I?ll have to look and see where in my collection that has gone

I priced out a cork valve cover gasket for a 8640 yesterday.
$80. I would have to drive 60 ml one way to get it too.
I said no thanks.
