YM 1700 and Sickle bar mower

I believe that I have found a sickle bar mower at the right price (new cost entirely too much), but wonder if anyone has had issues/advice in type and attachment. It is a 6' MF41 sickle mower. I will predominately use it in the vertical position to keep brush (very small limbs) back off drive and around the yard). Have seen many YouTube vids on performing this task. I searched this board and found very little. I worry about the width of the rear tires and lift arms.

Has anyone used a sickle bar with this tractor (or comparative size)? Any suggestions or needs? Or is there another implement all together that I haven't seen? Thanks in advance.

I played around for awhile with an old Ford 7' sickle bar mower with my old 2002D. Plenty of power, I didn't keep it long, just didn't fit my needs and didn't cut worth a hoot. Never tried using it vertically, didn't know you could do that.

Hey if you try that keeps us informed as I have thought about it also, to keep my driveway and bushes off the edge of my line. Be a lot easier that with a hedge trimmer
