YM1500 3 Point Hitch/Linkage Question

Hello all,

Just bought a YM1500 with a non-working 3 point hitch. I have discovered that the lever to raise/lower the hitch is not activating the valve. I pried a flat screwdriver between the square block and the valve rod (circled in yellow) and the hitch came right up.

Was wondering if there is supposed to be something attached where the blue and red circles are. It's not really shown where the blue circle is, but there are three holes in the green rod.

Also, the valve rod did not come back out by itself. I pulled it out with pliers, but the hitch did not go back down. Am going to take the valve apart and clean it up.

Can anyone help with this? Maybe provide a picture showing how the linkage should be hooked up if mine is incorrect. I looked at the parts diagrams at Hoye, but didn't see what I needed.

Thanks,

Don

the blue circled rod that goes back to the rockshaft is the feedback rod. It is to be adjusted so the lift will not try to raise to high and over pressure.

No doubt the valve needs cleaned up if it won't return on it's own.

Something is kaputed with the linkage if it won't push the plunger in on the valve when you raise it. Your going to have to figure out what is stopping it.

Thanks for the reply.

I removed the relief valve and the stop valve, cleaned, and reinstalled them. Now the hitch is working fine. Apparently the PO had let the tractor sit for a year or more and some parts were a little stuck.
