A few days ago (last Thursday evening) we acquired this Yanmar YM1601D. Now am new to compact tractors of any kind and a novice with tractors in general having only ever played about with a 49 vintage Ferguson TVO that dad had some 25 years back.
Can anyone show me where the oil light is?
I think the sender is shot on ours as I found it disconnected and connecting the wire has done nothing.
The lamp tests only brings up four red lights, rad level, expansion bottle level, pre heat and charge. So if the oil light in on that panel perhaps I need to be looking at bulbs.
The temp gauge also is not working so looks like a new sender is called for as well.
I think this one has stood outside without cover a lot. The indicator switch is seized solid and the horn button does not work. She has some surface rust that we will attend to when we can. Oh yes it had 710 hours on the clock.

It's the four lamps with symbols on that light up. Is the oil light one of the unmarked ones?
She runs fine, the vendor fitted a replacement water pump as it was weeping, we had to get and fit a new belt as it was really worn ..................... yes it over heated whilst grass cutting. So as it was probably due I changed the engine oil and fitted a new filter. We spent some 5 hours this afternoon evening cutting the field with no issues. Some of the growth is thigh high out there so it's working hard.
Any help and advice appreciated.
