Your next Case

What Case would you like to buy next? I still need a 4, 6, and 830. I would like to get a newer one, a 2870. Bill

I'd like to find a really nice original VAC with a Eagle Hitch. I found one & sent who I thought was a trusted friend to a sale to buy it for me as I couldn't go. He bought it for less than what I was willing to pay for it & then told me he thought he would just keep it. I found out he wasn't the friend I thought he was.

VAC. Dad Had one when I was a very young kid. While I was in school dad traded it off. I never got over missing that tractor.
I remember coming home from school, when I was 6 years old, on the school bus and passing the field dad stacking hay with the hired man. Got home, nobody there. Mom was late getting back home. So I checked the oil and filled the VAC with gas. Drove the VAC in the ditch, too young to drive on the highway, a mile & half, hitched up the dump rake and followed dad with the bucker. Then dad sent me home to refill the water jug. All went well until I met mom at the driveway. She told me I was too young to drive by myself. I told I wasnt because I had already been to the field & back. Then I told her dad sent me back home for more water. Mom made my get in the car with the water to take to the field. I was very upset that mom would not let me drive the VAC to the field. When we got to the field, I stayed in the car & remember mom doing all the talking and dad just shaking his head and said nothing. I didnt understand what was happening at the time. But I was confident that dad would set mom straight and I would be back to the field. But that was not the case. Then mom got in the car to leave with me and hit a rock with the oil pan. But that is another story.

I need an L or LA, prefer an L, and RC to complete having one variation of each letter series. I would also like to get a Racine built 400 and a 1030. And of course another crossmotor

An 870 open station golden demo with a 70 series loader.prefered to be my grandpa's ,but that is a far fetched idea.

Good story, Tony; I hit a rock on the road, the township hauled in pit run, to cheap to buy crushed gravel, but anyway i put on some stuff, that had to kneaded like bread dough,it is still holding 6 yrs later !!!

Just made a deal on a 330 baler. But if your talking about tractors, a 530D com is on my list. Not likely this year tho.

1070. I don't know if I would want a power shift or plain old 8 speed. My first new tractor was a 1070 bought in the fall of '74. It wasn't big enough for my acres and turned out to be a problem child anyway so I traded it off right after the power shift was rebuilt. I still like that model though. I have a fondness for the SC but I have enough SC's. Maybe if a really good one would fall in my lap I could add it to the herd but it would have to real nice original and real cheap.

To be honest.I own enough case tractors, combines, equipment, and a threshing machine that when I fully retire that it's all the projects for me.Would love a nice 1070 with cab and 8 speed or a 2090 8 speed.Powershits are great tho this country kid can get by fine with out one.
