Actually it is not black, it lacks color which gives it the apearance of being black. Unless the sun shines through it.

True.

Today it is an off White when I look up, snowflakes falling from it.

Above that I suppose you are correct, I think it is blue but can't prove it right now.

Paul

That is actually not true, the blue comes from refraction of the light passing through, has no relation to oceans.

The answer to O.P. is False.
As in every other color we see..................

The color you see is not the color it is.

i.e your seeing the one color that the object/item is not reflecting.

What color is it? Every color there is [u:5ea99a8f8a]except[/u:5ea99a8f8a] the color you see.

i.e your seeing the one color that the object/item is not reflecting.

Actually that should say.

i.e your seeing the one color that the object/item does reflect.

A apple is red because it reflects red light waves and absorbs all other colors of light.
So when you look at a apple you can only see the red light waves being reflected back at your eye.

Light can be produced, absorbed, reflected, refracted or diffracted.

All of these can appear as colors.

thanks for that, yes I meant to type "does reflect" my bad.

You should have asked the more important question, "Why is there air"?

At least we feel more now like we do than when we started.

We can't say yet...have to wait until the guys we listen to on the radio tell us what color it is, and that the other
side is lying about the color.

My dad was color blind, he was fine when stop lights were vertical, but once they went horizontal he just guessed, so I do not take color too seriously. Colors appear to each person as they appear and are interpreted.

Light is electromagnetic radiation within a certain portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. The word usually refers to visible light, which is the visible spectrum that is visible to the human eye and is responsible for the sense of sight. gm

It's sometimes true and other times false depending
the weather conditions at the time and location the
question is referring to lol

It's false. Sky is actually blazing red. Our eyes perceive it as sky blue due to a slow wavelength feature we have.
