Zenith Carb on a B

I have what appears to be a Zenith 14008 carb on a B. All of the Zenith carb kits are for other Zenith numbers. Do you think someone put the wrong carb on this at some time. If not, how do I find a kit?

If you have a local O'Reilly's auto parts store they should be able to use those number to come up with kit for you

I quit buying off the shelf carb kits. Often these kits are assembled to fit a range of carburetors and then you end up paying for a pile of left over parts.

Check with McDonald Carburetor. They should be able to provide the kit or parts you need.

I totally agree that most carburetor kits give you a lot of unneeded parts, gaskets etc. One of the worst offenders is CASEIH with their kits. Even when it was still IH I rarely used a kit. Just the individual parts that I deemed necessary. Why replace the nozzle in a carburetor with a will fit all one. Nozzles don't wear out, get broken maybe not wear out. Idle jets wrong size as there are five different size holes in those little buggers. Needle and seat worst than the one you took out.

I just ordered a few minor gaskets and parts from McDonald. Very reasonable prices, no shipping on a meager order and quick delivery.
