Neighbor has one, new last year, or maybe even this spring. Not sure of the exact model number but is JD. Noisy as He_ _! Both blades and engine!

I have a Scag, it is rock solid, but rides rough, would look at a Ferris next time.

I have run the older commercial units (737 and 757) and found them to be rock solid and very comfortable. The 7 iron welded deck on them is very stout. They did have an overheating issue where grass could build up around the cooling fins and they would bend pushrods or warp heads. Also keep an eye out for main seal leaks. If you can find one used that wasn't abused, they are great.

We have had JD 0 turn and now have a Gravely and my son has a 72in Grasshopper both are much better than the JD IMO.Quieter,ride better and less maintenance.

Have you considered a Ferris? Great machine and has suspension.

My toro has 1450 hours on it and is a 99. I am gonna run her for i don't know how long.

We have two 997's working everyday in a Municipal application. They have hundreds of hours on them with virtually no problems. Work great and burn very little fuel. I would highly recommend them!

1555hrs,Dave. misc. problems have occurred,mostly with deck which I abused. I'm keeping the unit for back up and to use in trashy areas near edge of woods etc. Brad

I have been cutting commercially for over 20 years, the JD Z900 series is excellent.

I mow with a 930M, the main advantage over my 2320 tractor is manuverability and speed of mowing. The zero turn uses 2X the gasoline as diesel in the tractor, quite a bit louder, and alot bumpier ride. The 930M has been trouble free and will cut grass as fast as I can stay in the seat. If I were buying new, I would look into a diesel, the best seat, and tweels instead of std tires

I have a Z930m and that thing will cut as fast as you can hang on. The best thing about it is no grass build up under the deck like my dad Kubota.

I have a JD757 and can't say enough good...this was John Deere's flag star commercial mowers. There is only one adjustment "height" and is simple to operate and used. Featured the Kawa 25HP which is a premier engine compared to what is being sold today. I'd rather have a good used one of these than any of the current models. The new ones sell a lot of features not need and adjustments not needed. Makes them look like features that they are nothing but problems. I removed my roll bar as it caused two non injury accidents and roll over is not a factor on my property and question where it is anywhere as the mower will slide on banks which is normal. Kinda do like the new tires John Deere has released. The small and cheaper John Deeres are junk in my opinion as they are about 500 lbs lighter and will beat you up. But there may be a place-real smooth small yard. Do not like the vertical Briggs engine, just cheaper.

I've got 5 that we use in a lawn care business. 2 - 737, 757, 2 - 777. Some of the most reliable mowers ever built in my opinion. Ours have anywhere from 800-2200 hours. That are easy on fuel and will stick on a hill where a lot of other machines will not. A new deere does not come close to sticking nearly as well. I have demoed 2 of them, a 930M and I have a 960M with Tweels in the trailer right now. They both drink twice the fuel that any of the older ones do. They have a shorter wheel base than the 700's. They ride rougher and like I said will not stick on a hill. The decks are the same and about as tough as you can get. I worked at Deere for a few years at a large dealership. I saw two 7Iron decks that had to be replaced. One on a zero turn and one on a front deck. They are very well built decks. I've tried other brands of mowers but nothing has held up and give the service with lack of down time like the older 700 series has for me.
