ZTU question

We had to move a non running ZTU due to a tree falling on the barn it was originally in. The engine is taken down to the crank when we moved it. The guy helping me who steered the tractor said he made sure the hand clutch was Not engaged, but said after the fact he wasn't sure if the tractor was still in gear. Said the belt pulley was turning with the wheels, which made me think it was in gear. The tractor was pulled maybe 100 yards to another barn, using a modern tractor in low range, then pulled backwards into the barn, carefully. I don't know these Zs all that well yet. I just wanted to ask, any chance he could have damaged the transmission or anything else from this if he really had left it in gear? He was certain the clutch wasn't in.

Perfectly normal and no damage could have happened.

If the clutch was not engaged then nothing could have come to harm on it. Possibly some benefit as transmission oil was most likely kicked to the top of the transmission lubricating moving parts. Don't know when the last time the tractor moved under its own power?
